The Dandelion Theory
MY father often said to me,
“Girl you are wise and you are strong.
If one should dare to rein you in,
Respectfully take him down.”
Those words in mind, I found myself
Able armed and willing
To unearth the foe that exposed itself
as the statesman of all villains.
Equipped with man’s made finest-
The garden spade and hoe-
With sleeves rolled up and well-worn gloves,
The dandelion must go.
